Windows 8 features a redesigned user interface, and brings with it new ways to uninstall programs that may not be obvious to users switching from previous versions of Windows. Should you need to uninstall ProShow Gold, ProShow Producer, or the Photodex Presenter plugin for any reason, follow the instructions below:
Uninstalling ProShow Gold or ProShow Producer
1) Go to the Start screen either by pressing the Start key usually found between Ctrl and Alt, or by clicking in the bottom right corner of your screen. 2) Find ProShow in the list of apps and right click to bring up the app options bar at the bottom of the screen. Choose “Uninstall”. 3) When the Programs and Features window comes up, select ProShow Gold or ProShow Producer, then click Uninstall/Change at the top of the list. 4) ProShow’s uninstaller should run, and clicking the Uninstall button is all that is necessary. *If ProShow cannot be found in the list of apps in the Start screen, follow steps 1 and 2 from the next section instead.
Uninstalling the Photodex Presenter plugin:
Photodex Presenter is not usually listed in your Start screen, and therefore a slightly different approach is necessary than the one mentioned above: 1) Go to the Desktop. If you’re not there already, go to the Start screen either by pressing the Start key usually found between Ctrl and Alt, or by clicking in the bottom right corner of your screen. Find “Desktop” in the list of apps and click on it. 2) While on the Desktop, hover your mouse over the bottom left corner of the screen (a “Start” option should appear). Right-click with your mouse to bring up a list of options and choose “Programs and Features”. 3) When the Programs and Features window comes up, select Photodex Presenter, then click Uninstall/Change at the top of the list. 4) When the uninstaller appears, click Yes to confirm.
