If you are looking for an easy way to adjust the slide and/or transition time for all slides at one time, you need to select all slides in the timeline by hitting ‘Ctrl+A’ and then click inside one of the slide time boxes on a slide, type in the duration you want for all the slides and then hit ‘Enter’ on your keyboard.
Timeline view changes your slide list into a timeline. This displays your slide thumbnails as smaller images with the width of the thumbnail based on how long the slide and transition time is. Longer slides and transitions will have longer thumbnails representing the their time on the timeline.
Timeline view gives you the ability to visually adjust the timing of your slides and/or transitions to fine tune the look and feel of your show.
